The Challenge

The Challenge...
No buying clothes or shoes for the year of 2012. To prove that I have more than enough clothing options already hanging (or laying) in my closets. Yes, I made closets plural, and yes, they are both at maximum capacity.

Put a bird on it

January has been a busy month. Plus it's been so cold that all I really want to do is wear sweat pants and Ugg boots all day, let alone look cute for work. I have managed to look semi decent though. Something I really hate about girl fashion though is nylons. I love wearing my tights and nylons, but putting them on sometimes is as stressful as a Maury Povich show before he let's us know if he is or isn't the father. I ripped two BRAND NEW pairs of black nylons in one week's time this month. I wanted to punch myself in the face I was so mad. Black nylons are a Godsend to super translucent pale girls like myself, so when you ruin a pair straight out of the package it sort of becomes a bummer.

I have been to the mall a few times this month to get some makeup and I bought a purse. I really wanted a crossover bag, I would love to spend some money on a Lucky leather one, but I am still not sure if I would really use it that much. Fossil has this vintage line out right now and I keep looking at it even though it is totally not my usual vintage style. I have a more classic, Jackie O look I go for, and this is more Flower Power hippie type. But like I said, I just keep finding myself looking at this pattern. I finally decided to buy one since they were 50% off. So for $45 I got this bag that has birds on it...

But in all seriousness, this is what I really got...

It makes me feel spunky, and young, and like I don't worry about crows feet popping up in the next few years. But not to fret, I haven't become a hippie just yet. You can still count on my snobby chic style for now.
